Company Group Advisor
Datuk Rashidi Hasbullah is an esteemed industry leader and government official with a career spanning over two decades in tourism. He currently serves as the Group Special Advisor to the MyUS Group of Companies, and previously held the position of Secretary-General at the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia. Datuk Rashidi has a strong educational foundation, with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Mississippi State University, a Master’s in Tourism from Central Michigan University, and leadership training from the Oxford Advanced Leadership Course at Oxford University.
In addition to his government responsibilities, Datuk Rashidi has also served on numerous boards and committees related to tourism, including the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau, Hotel Seri Malaysia, Putrajaya International Convention Centre, and more. He currently chairs the National Art, Heritage, and Culture Academy and the National Visual Art Development Board. Under Datuk Rashidi’s leadership, the Malaysia Homestay Experience Program was recognized with the UNWTO Ulysses Award for Innovation in Public Policy and Governance, and has become the benchmark homestay program for ASEAN countries, with over 311 villages participating.
